"Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong and no one understands you."
I can't take it anymore. This feeling I've been having. You know like how you can just go to this one friend who will hear you out patiently whenever you've problems?
Well I used to have a friend who always had my back. I used to be able to go to that one person when I'm down, or when I had problems or when I just needed talk. However, that person is no longer here. That person is now far far away, with 7 hours time difference, and with his own life and problems to be bothered with. I shall call that person N.
After many life changing experiences, I started to live by this motto 'Never put all your eggs into one basket'. Which basically means never pin your hopes and expectations onto one person, because if the person fails (if the basket breaks) you will be left with nothing (you will be left with no eggs).
And so I lived cautiously, I never shared much with other friends my problems or what I'm going through. Because in my experience no one can be trusted completely, and you would know that too.
So I became 'just friends' with everyone. And I felt happy because they did not know anything about me. I felt happy because I never had any expectations on anyone, and they couldn't let me down. I smiled most of the time around people and I guessed it worked.
Guess my whole show was a success.
The thing was unknowingly, unconsciously, I actually placed everything I had in N. All my hopes, all my desires, all my worries, I shared it with N. Because N was capable of giving me advice no conventional person would have thought of. To a point where I felt as if he was my guardian angel.
Despite being so careful, I realised now I was treading on thin ice. Since he barely has time for himself now or for small chats, I decided I didn't want to burden N anymore with my petty qualms. So instead, I tried telling some of my friends here about it, not everything but just a little to see their reaction. But their reactions were disheartening. There was no reply.
Ever felt like that before? Like you were there for this person every single damn time, but when its your turn there's not a shadow to be seen?
When they have problems they pour everything out to you and you listen, and tell them everything will be alright. You don't judge them even if their problems seemed like an atom compared to what you're going through. But when you try telling them something, they act like you don't exist. They do the exact opposite of what you did for them.
I feel like I'm nothing more than a backup plan.
But have you ever thought that backup plans don't always succeed and need backups too?
So right now, I just feel so small and alone. I have no one to go to and no one to talk to. I don't have the mood to do anything except sleep. I don't feel like waking up, I don't feel like getting out. I've just been staring at my computer blankly. Sharing it here was my only avenue I could let off some steam.
This feels like when I was 15 all over again.
Guess I just don't belong no matter how hard I try.

I Hate Chicken Rice
So as you all know, I've been having exams lately. Last Monday was officially the start to my two-week-horror. Every kid hates exams, and no that's not a sweeping-statement. It's a general statement like how dogs love bones and unicorns love pooping on rainbows. You don't have to explain why but you just know it's true when you hear it. Like it's the kind of thing you hear where you don't even have to process that statement twice to even validate it's true.
If I'm even making sense to you. Lol but I hope I did.
Ok I had two papers on the first day of my exams. And it wasn't just any other paper, it was two of the most important subjects out of all the other subjects I had for this semester. To be frank, I know that most people (especially those who have taken A levels or SAM or etc before) are probably used to this and will be like 'k no big deal, I had two subjects almost everyday of my exams'
But I was never an A levels student nor was I EVER a scholar. I study Mass Comm for goodness sake and the sake of the future of all mankind. Seriously, I'll eliminate an entire race of living creatures in jeopardy without even knowing it, if I were to be an engineer, chemist or a doctor. And I think I speak for the majority of students taking this major. If you disagree, then cool, opinion respected.
Ok so you're probably like 'puhlease, so how hard can mass comm be?'. Well we have Social Psychology to begin with. Yea we have to study your brain first before we can communicate to the mass audience. Fine, we do not literally study your brain but we study theories from previous philosophers and how people react to messages.
I'm just trying to point out that we actually do learn useful stuff in this highly misunderstood field of Mass Communication.
So I had this subject and another important subject (which has something to do with research) on my first day. I was studying the night before when suddenly I felt a discomfort in my tummy. I thought it was just a temporary kinda discomfort but I was wrong.
Before I knew it, I was hugging my toilet bowl and vomiting my lungs out. And I realised that it was the chicken rice my dad brought back home. As usual we keep leftovers in the fridge and I heated the chicken up. Half of it smelled a little sour so I threw away some and ate the rest which smelled alright, thinking there was nothing wrong with it.
How very wrong I was. I threw up continuously for the rest of the night until I vomited what seemed as just water. It was uncontrollable and what's worse was, I had diarrhoea while throwing up.
Yea imagine that.
You're shitting on the toilet bowl half way and you're like oh no I feel like puking.
Mind blown.
I bet you never thought it was possible too.
Worse experience ever. And now I'm phobic towards chicken rice.
Probably not gonna touch it for a year now. Oh and I missed my second exam that day thanks to the puking coming back and this time with dizziness.
Right now I'm just taking a break from studying. Wait. Actually I haven't even started haha.
And now I shall post pictures of myself.
Tadaaaa my outfit from quite some time ago.
In love with this beaded necklace/choker currently.
Got it a really long time ago as a gift but never really wore it out.
That's it!
Oh and please pray for Gaza :(
It's really heartbreaking to see how they're awaken in the morning with explosions and their loved ones being killed in front of them..
The situation is getting out of hand and two days ago, I saw a disturbing picture on my facebook timeline.
A dad was crying over his child who's head was half gone.
When I saw the picture, I almost teared.
I can't imagine this happening to my family or even someone I know.
We can't do much, but the least we can do is pray .

Things You Need to Know Before Getting Braces
"Beauty is painful."
That's what they all say. And achieving a beautiful smile with a perfect row of sparkly white teeth is no exception to this. This is due to the fact that not all of us were born with perfect teeth, thus corrections using braces or constant trips to the dentist would need to be done.
I know that majority of teenagers these days are already wearing braces, and most of them probably didn't know what they were getting into - until they've done it.
So this article I compiled is for those who are planning to get braces, but are not quite sure of what to prepare for.
There are a few types of braces which you can choose from, but I will only introduce three widely available ones in Malaysia:
After determining what type of braces you want, you have to also know about the 'emotional preparations' needed.
There are a few types of braces which you can choose from, but I will only introduce three widely available ones in Malaysia:
Metal braces
This is the most common one where any dentist can provide this system of braces. Brackets (the metal-looking pieces) are glued to each individual tooth. It also requires tooth extraction. Personally, I find this method as the 'fun' one, as you get to opt for colours on your braces!
Damon braces
As far as I know, not all dental clinics provide this system. Damon braces do not require rubber bands, so it is more comfortable than traditional braces. Due to that, you can't choose to have colours on your teeth (as the colours are from elastic bands). However, the brackets allow the wire to slide which gives the patient more freedom of movement and eliminates the need of tightening the braces every month, which according to my sister, is horrible. Also, it usually does not require tooth removal. And this is mine!
Invisalign braces
These braces are virtually invisible. They are clear moulds acting as aligners, which can be removed for brushing your teeth. Down side of this is that it is super expensive and takes two weeks for the aligners to be made after the dentist records the state of your teeth. Plus, it is available in Malaysia but pretty rare.
1. Braces HURT.
This is probably what everyone should know. Before the entire process of placing the braces on, you'll feel giddy with excitement on what the future holds for you. And images like this will be plastered in your mind:
However, reality only hits you the moment you lay on that dentist chair, when he takes out all his scary looking tools.
Pre-Braces
Most people would opt for the method where teeth has to be pulled out to make space for the rest, and tooth extraction hurts when the Anesthetic wears out.
After a week or so, it's then time for the real thing- putting on the braces in your mouth.
That is when you notice for the first time how 2 hours is actually a really long time. Basically, the process takes around that much time, but for me my dentist took an extra half an hour more. Then he will tell you to relax and starts pulling at your mouth, trying to look at the state of every single one of your teeth.
The dentist will tug and tug at both corners of your mouth to the point you feel your lips getting sore and dry.
And you would taste alot of rubber inside your mouth because of the gloves the dentist uses.
Post-Braces
After you finally have your braces on, the dentist would give you a dental kit where everything you need would be inside. At this moment, your lips will be trying to get used to the metal pieces (called brackets) inside your mouth. And most of the time, the friction of the metal rubbing against your lips will cause ulcers to break out on your lips, which would add to the discomfort.
Getting used to them is probably what alot of people struggle to do. The first time, after you had your braces, biting into food is probably the most horrible experience.
Your teeth feels like its too weak to chew anything at all. One of my friend described it as 'You feel like all your teeth are just gonna drop inside your food'. That was indeed rather true. Some of my friends took a month just to get used to eating, and had to eat porridge for the entire 30 days.
I had mine on two days after Christmas and boy, that really was an extra push for me to get used to eating with it. I had chicken, beef and lamb laid out right in front of my eyes at a party the veery next day. I couldn't resist it. So I helped myself. I cut everything into really tiny pieces and chewed slowly on the side which hurt less.
The pain will eventually subside after a week, at least.
2. You can't eat everything.
This is likely going to be the hardest for people who are food lovers, like me, to accept.
You'll get used to eating with braces after a while, however there are foods which you would need to avoid:
Thinking that you'll look like this after everything.
Just kidding.

This is likely going to be the hardest for people who are food lovers, like me, to accept.
You'll get used to eating with braces after a while, however there are foods which you would need to avoid:
- Chewy foods: bagels, licorice
- Crunchy foods: popcorn, ice, chips
- Sticky foods: dodol, caramels, gum, taffy
- Hard foods: nuts, candy, raw carrots
- Foods you have to bite into: corn on the cob, apples, guava, chocolate bars straight from the fridge
- Chewing on hard things (for example, pens, pencils or fingernails) can damage the braces.
(source from: http://www.prestigeortho.com.my/bracesdoordon't.html)
This is to also avoid people from breaking their brackets/damaging their braces, which would delay the entire treatment process.
Eg. Ah Meng is supposed to wear braces for a year and a half, but because he breaks his bracket almost every month, he needs to wear it for more than 2 years.
Then again, it's not the end of the world because there are many soft foods that people with braces are still able to eat.
Not to mention, delicious soft food.
3. Braces require dedication
You need to brush your teeth after every meal or snack. This is so you can protect your teeth from plaque attacking it. When I say brush, I really mean brushing your teeth until it is clean. You will need to be extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning, since the brackets and wires of your braces tend to hold and accumulate food particles, even when you don't feel it. Thus, a travelling toothbrush might be necessary.
For me, I was advised to brush my teeth 4-5 times a day. And brushing was a slight problem for me because I do not like pain in my mouth, well so does everyone else. You have to brush at all angles, even at the top and bottom of your gum, which might cause it to bleed abit occasionally.
Besides that, it is also important to plan your meals and snack times. You can't afford to be eating at all times whenever and wherever you are. The reason being you'll have more than 4-5 meal/snack times a day and would require you to end up brushing your teeth more than 7 times a day, which will make your gums sore and again, add to all the pain happening in your mouth.
As time elapse, most people would stop brushing regularly and return to their old habit of brushing only twice a day - when you wake up and when you go to bed. Some people are lucky and their teeth do not attract plaque easily, but the rest whose teeth attract plaque easily, would end up with teeth discolouration.
And teeth discolouration ain't pretty.
White spots would appear which is actually a permanent damage to the teeth.
Bear with me, this picture is disgusting but it's for the purpose of understanding your teeth better.
This is how plaque accumulates in your teeth.
You might not see it, because it starts accumulating at the back of teeth first where people normally pay the least attention to, in terms of brushing.
I mean you don't want to end up like this right.
And that's it!
I hope all these information here helped in some ways to those who are still in that phase of deciding on braces or not :)
If you know someone who is having a hard time deciding, feel free to share this :)

PS I did the Damon method, where I didn't need to pluck out any teeth.

"Take A Leap"
Somehow when I got home, the movie made me reflect on my life. And I realised in many ways, I was like the main character himself. I wished I did interesting things, but in reality nothing would be done. Often enough, I would daydream about how I'd like to have handled embarrassing matters of the past or even on how I'd become successful one day and etc.
And it hit me.
Life's too short to always make safe choices.
I know it's one of those phrases people hear all the time, with all the YOLO bullshit, which may even come of as 'cliched'. But this really hit me and made me look back upon my achievements in life.
I swear I got my ability, or lack thereof, to be absolutely positively boring from my parents.
They are the most boring bunch on the universe, I... kenot. And due to that, even my decisions end up being the boring-est one.
It was my youngest sister's birthday, and Surprise surprise, we celebrated it at Empire's Jaya Grocer. Instead of opting to try something new, my parents tend to always make the 'safe' choices. As in choosing restaurants which we have been to and tried their food for adequacy. It doesn't matter if we go there almost every other occasion, eg. A lazy Sunday, a random school holiday.
What matters is that it is within that comfort zone.
The thing is my parents aren't the type who take risks, so my sisters are pretty much the same too. I on the other hand, unfortunately, had a little screw loose in my head and was always demanding for change, and for more.
I'm not greedy, but most of the time, I would be mistaken for so. Even at a young age, my parents didn't want me to do anything else but go to school and come home (besides piano which I utterly had zero interest in).
I wanted to go for Taekwondo classes, but was ultimately turned down.
I wanted to learn gymnastics, but was told I was too old - I was only 7.
Then came the time when I wanted a skateboard, my mum thought I was bonkers.
I got chosen selected to participate in the 100m run for sport's day and for all the 6 years I was in primary school, my parents told me it was too troublesome so I never got the chance to go for a single Sports Day.
I wanted to learn dancing but my mum didn't like the idea.
Life was pretty hard on me, not physically but mentally, considering the many dreams I was restricted from. All because of these 'safe' choices.
I guess its an asian thing, or to be more specific, a Chinese thing. Chinese parents are always the problem here. They either push their kids too far front, or back. Some parents push their kids far front to get good results, have a distinction in piano, plus or minus another instrument, and be on top in ballet.
But life is definitely too short to deprive someone, or yourself, from making exciting choices. I am probably gonna be too old soon enough, to even be flexible enough to dance anymore. If I looked back now in 3 years, I would've regretted if I wasn't persistent enough to enrol for dance class and give myself another chance. Because, I guess that was what I have always wanted to do.
And I'm not gonna back down so easily now, even if people laughed at me.
If you've been wanting to do something you really like, do it.
Don't let others tell you otherwise. Coming from a very unsupportive background, I know it is hard because there are times when you look around for emotional support and no one is present.
Instead of listening to all the negative comments, think of when you succeed. No one is gonna tell you 'I told you so' anymore. Make choices which you want, and not those which you are obliged to.
Be your own person this year and start living it.

Resolutions
I really don't know what to think. It's another year. And one can't only help but wonder what would lie in store for them.
I've got an annoying love-hate relationship with New Year Resolutions, and this year I just haven't got around to list out anything on solid paper - I wanted alot of things, ok I do still want alot of things.
Well here's why I kinda love it but kinda hate resolutions at the same time. Each year, after listing everything I want down, there would always be a feeling of pride on finally setting my heart to something. And because of that, it feels like you actually have a purpose in life which leads to the feeling of joy and self-love *pats self on back*.
But as the months slip by, January, February, March and all the way till December, you slowly forget the existence of whatever you penned down at the beginning of the year.
Although the knowledge of you scribbling a few words down with something more or less to do with your 'resolutions' is still avid in your memory, you choose to not even think about it's content.
You choose to forget it.
Because you realised whatever which got you pumping with adrenaline while writing those never ending checklists as resolutions, was long gone.
Then, a new year comes along and ultimately, you are confronted with the fact which you got no where close achieving whatever you tried to do (or tried listing down in hopes you'd get around to it magically).
Most people would probably choose to ignore and forget the thought of it again, with the annual tagline -"This year will be better!".
Poof. And everything is forgotten, all sins are forgiven, all mistakes are corrected, by the wonderful power of the Self.
Which brings me to why I hate resolutions. They just make you realise what a lousy person you are and what a shitty job you're doing, trying to be what we call a 'Changed Man'.
Worse part is the realisation of having had the same resolution for three years.
Or more.
Continuously.
MAI OH MAI.
What an insult to the self.
Hmm. Maybe this year I'll do better.
And it starts all over again.
Worse part is the realisation of having had the same resolution for three years.
Or more.
Continuously.
MAI OH MAI.
What an insult to the self.
Hmm. Maybe this year I'll do better.
......
Anyway some pictures I recently took with my currently favourite sweater. It's the raining season and one can't help but feel cold almost all the time haha.

Loving Your Pet
Nickey :)
Yea so imagine the trauma I got when Nickey, my dog who has been with me for 14 years, kept having brown fluid coming out of his right ear. It was blood.
The worse part was, he had no appetite to eat or even walk with that much of discomfort going on in his ears. So I decided to try and help him clean it up so that he won't feel that much irritated by it. As I was trying to wipe all the brown stuff on his ear clean, I saw fly eggs stuck on his blood drenched fur.
I got really worried when I saw that.... because if you don't already know... The fly's eggs will hatch into maggots. And maggots are just not a good sign because they only appear on things that were rotting. So this meant that my dog's ears were rotting away...
My baby in better times.
I decided to really beg my dad to bring my dog to the vet this time as it was getting really serious. Every day after wiping the eggs away, more will appear the next day and so on. It was never ending and I really feared for my dog's life.
Finally my dad agreed and also told me to prepare myself for whatever that will happen to my dog there. Well yes I didn't want to let my dog go at first, but then I realised how much he was suffering and how unfair it would be for him to stay with me in this state just for the sake of my selfishness. He has been my companion for 14 years now and what more could I ask for?
My poor doggie while waiting for his turn.
I guess you can say that my heart was prepared with the knowledge of never being able to see my darling dog again after the trip to the vet.
When we reached the vet, I sensed that Nickey did not want to go in. However, he was too weak to put up a fight with me and finally gave in as he lifted his heavy legs and entered the vet with me. He looked around and then he peed on the floor.
Lol I thought that was really cute of him haha. He was always the timid one even since a pup. This brought back memories of his younger days on how he was so afraid of the sound of lightning and thunder that he would always try to sit as close to my main door as possible, hoping that we would open it and that he'd have a chance to squeeze in. Sometimes he'd even whine and scratch our door if the thunder was too loud.
Yet, everybody in the vet looked at him understandingly as if they could relate. Maybe they could. I don't know.
Finally it was Nickey's turn. The veterinarians checked his ears and told us that indeed his ear was infested with maggots. I really pitied him because instead of how other dogs can get an injection so that they will fall asleep during this procedure, Nickey was too old for it. So the veterinarians had to extract the maggots while he was fully conscious.
The maggots were never ending. And as my dog barked in pain for the first time in months, we had no choice but to just stand and watch him at the side in this condition. There so many of them maggots I was worried how many more could there be inside his ear.
After everything we decided to get him groomed as well because his fur was all tangled and we really didn't know how to shower for him since he was so weak to even stand properly.
So skinny without his beautiful fur coat :(
Had to shave his fur off because of all the blood and fluid clogged on his fur :(
Thank God we brought him to the vet before it was too late. We suspect there are still some maggots in his ear as he still had some blood coming out from his ears. It was not as much as before but we will bring him to the vet again this Saturday for another check up just to be sure.

I decided to do a post on pets today because I've seen far too many pets who are being neglected lately. And far too many people who don't give a damn about it.
To those who have pets, please don't neglect your furry/ not-so-furry animals especially when you sense something wrong with them. As owners of another living creature, it is sure as hell important to make sure that you can provide for their needs, not only in good times but also in bad times. Dumping them at the side of the road just because you think they will die soon anyway is definitely the lowliest thing a well educated person can do.
The responsibility is great and it weighs upon your shoulders. I've seen dogs who have not been given enough love and care that the dog actually became depressed. It was my ex-neighbour's dog, but that will be a story for another day. Not only us humans can feel depression, animals can get it too.
The only difference is that animals can't say a thing.

Maybe We're Torn Apart
This post is for those who have experienced bad friendships, complicated ones and confusing ones.
And although it was tough trying to weigh out the pros and cons of each, I finally came to a decision. I'm still afraid I may regret it though. But I know that it's not worth it anymore for me to continue holding on like this.
I'm talking about how relationships and friendships are ruined because of one person. The person is everything you swear you never wanna meet. The person gossips, spread rumours, backstabs and ultimately, hates you.
I know many of you out there would most likely have come across these kinda people in your lives.
They are like a plague.
They can attack you and appear at any friggin phase of your life. Even when you're 90 years old and in a retirement home trying to rest in peace, no pun intended.
The choice I had to make was like deciding whether to continue hanging out with these bunch of really awesome friends, which you know would probably come by once in a decade, or to just give it all up and sacrifice yourself for their benefit.
You'd probably be wondering now, how in the world is giving your friends up a 'benefit' to them?
Well let's just say that one of them (the-not-so-awesome-one) disliked you and ended up creating a division among the rest of your friends without you yourself even knowing. And instead of doing the righteous thing and leaving you and your friends alone, the person continues to leech on for selfish reasons. For
Rumours spread, gossips thickened the air, making it hard to breathe.
And it gets worse. Because you feel it and you know all of it was about you.
Yes, all because one tiny person disapproved your presence, problems stirred, dramas unfolded.
After what has been happening for so long now, you have a choice to make on whether you want to continue to endure this never-ending drama, trying to get back at that person whenever you can, or...... to just surrender for the sake of peace, and wistfully hope that particular person would stop this drama he had orchestrated.
That he would stop trying to brainwash the rest of them into thinking you're the bad person.
That you're the disloyal one. That you're the one who only hung with them when you had no friends.
Of course you know it's total bollocks. But you just can't help wondering whether the rest of them knew that, or actually slowly caved in to everything they've heard, their subconscious minds gradually taking in and believing the gossips.
That's where you reach your breaking point and decide that you've had enough.
I walked away from it. Though it was probably the only friendship in so long which gave me the best memories, it was also the one that hurt the most. I had to act like a different person and I had to be self-conscious with everything I said. Heck, I couldn't even freely express whether I liked something or not. It was as if my opinions didn't matter.
I really hope you'll understand where I'm coming from, and know that being in this 'friendship' was like cutting myself and asking you guys to join me.
So I've finally decided to stop.
I finally realised that it's ok that I'm at loss as long as I don't cause you guys to lose a friend as well. Because that would just be plain selfish of me.
Whereas for that backstabber, I pray that you'd one day learn to make friends without having to use other people's trash to win them over. It sucks when you look back and realised that people only stuck with you for juicy secrets. Nothing more.

Run For Peace 2013
Last Sunday, I went for a charity run for the first time. I usually do not take part in events like these because the distance intimidates me lol. This one I went for was 7.5km if I'm not mistaken. Yea 7.5km was pretty scary to me since I only remember running that much when I was in Secondary school.
But at the end of the day it was pretty fun.
The healthy kinda fun ;D
This was taken after the whole tiring run. So pardon the hair.
Of all my friends that turned up, I only managed to meet them.
I found out others were there as well only through Instagram heh.
This is proof I finished the run!
OK sadly I didn't take much photos because... I was running. DUHHH. Hahaha
I did stop like once or twice but we still managed to catch up with the rest in front, though we were late and actually lagging behind.
So unfortunately no more photos.
I mean where got mood to camwhore la after running like a mad dog.
All the energy in me was practically used to move my legs.
Next year I'm aiming to join the Nike run. Yeaa.
MORE GOODIE BAGS! ^^

Three types of Friends in Generation Y
Today I'm gonna blog about this issue which is becoming increasingly annoying. Not only to me but to many people who have experienced it before.
Yes. My title says it all.
The three types of friends are Virtual friends, Non-virtual friends and Real friends.
These days in the 21st century where having an account in an online social network is typical of everyone, there tend to be the problem where you don't know who your real friends are anymore.
I'm not complaining about the people on FB who random adds me, in fact I do appreciate every single one of my friends online. But I'm just bringing up this issue where some people actually think that everybody who likes their profile pictures are real friends.
Probably half of them are. But the other half just adds everybody and anybody who interest them aesthetically, just for a little sneak peak at their daily lives.
Just recently, this happened to me:
The thing is, there are three types of friends I realised we generally all have.
These people to me are the least of my problems, as they're pretty nice. And to be honest you do need a few nice people online occasionally. But what bothers me the most is when some of them finally see you in reality, they just pretend to not see you and walk away. I've had experiences where I've wanted to say hi but the person just makes it completely and utterly impossible, by not even making any eye contact with me.
Sure, I know everybody has that fear of: "what if we make eye contact and our virtual relationship is doom-ified??" And then the logical conclusion comes later on: "So I shall not risk it and pretend that the grass on the ground really interests me more than anything else in this world"
I hate that feeling. That's the shittiest feeling a total stranger can give you.
Therefore, virtual friends are basically people who are ONLY your friends when you're online and logged onto FB.
Moral of the story is, there's no point in waving to them or giving them any form of real life acknowledgement unless you're willing to jump out of nowhere and get into their faces and say hi to them.
Even so, you must be willing to accept the consequences where they can either :
a. Say hi back
b. Give you the awkward stare and walk away, with a smirk.
c. Be nice and say hi. Then unfollow you on any social network you're present in.
d. Punch you in the face.
So why risk it? LOL
Not to be a bad example, but I'm doing a huge favour here fighting awkwardness and saving people who are socially challenged (like me) through my years and years of experience. Embarrassing experiences which I don't think any living being would ever EVER want to re-encounter.
Honestly, these are the people who bother me the most. Its like yea I think we're good, I think we can get the ball rolling to infinity and beyond. And then when you follow them on Instagram or Twitter.
But you realise they didn't follow you back. And you go thinking, nah maybe they will tomorrow. The day after. Next week. Next month. Next year. How bout next century when I become America's Next Top Model.
Slowly, you come to your senses that they're perfectly active. Perfectly friggin active on every online account they're running but there's something missing...
So you try to seek a little attention, cuz maybe their notifications got flooded by too many requests, they just did not see you. *rolls eyeballs* And you do that by commenting on their pictures/tweets.
However on that faithful day, everybody but you was replied.
Sounds familiar?
You'd either really relate very well to what I just said or prolly start to hate me cuz you feel insulted due to the reason you 'terasa' (feel the guilt).
The thing is, these people are like those of what we call in Chinese : wang en fu yi.
And the English definition I got from eudict.com of it is: Ungrateful, to kick a benefactor in the teeth.
I'm talking bout those people whom you treat nicely and give compliments to in reality. Those whom you have worked with for group assignments, where you probably totally covered his/her ass in most aspect of it. It sucks when virtual reality kicks in and you realise the person treats you no more than a random person in school or college. I guess these people will be forever labelled as the "i'm-too-cool-for-you" bunch.
Honestly, I follow and add everyone I know. Well unless their accounts are the type where they just create it and leave it to collect dust, not posting anything at all. Sorry I don't cover that lol. And if you realise I'm not following you though we've talked more than thrice in real life, just notify me and forgive me *gives biggest smile possible*
Moral of the story is, just do the world some charity and unfriend/ unfollow the damn person. Not worth your bloody stinking time waiting for that follow back :) Maybe the person will start realising the importance of your presence when you're rich and famous in the near future. Hence, STUDY SMART!
Oh and they won't mistake you name for someone else's. Just saying.
Ok so some of them might not even have an FB account, but don't get me wrong cuz that doesn't mean they're anything less than a real friend. Some of them are probably not an online savvy like you, and doesn't go updating their FB every single day, but again that doesn't mean they are not a real friend to you.
I won't elaborate too much on Real Friends because every human being has the capability of detecting and sensing one. It's just common sense really. Furthermore, qualities of real friends are quite subjective to talk about and it may vary from different people.
Well that ends my rant on the three types of friends Generation Y would come across. I hope this was useful and that I've managed to help some people understand the type of friends they have.
It's perfectly normal that you feel cheated by people who are especially under the category of Non-Virtual friends, but don't get too upset about it. Everyone has them :)
Yes I got mistaken for an Evon.
If this person could've just open his eyes a little, he'd realise my name is friggin up there above the convo -.-
Who in their right mind does this???
Wanting to chat with somebody and then calling the somebody some other name.
As much as you'd like to rename me, you're not my father. Thank you very much.

The thing is, there are three types of friends I realised we generally all have.
1.Virtual Friends
They treat you really nicely on the net, commenting on your every picture and liking probably every single one of your photos. These people to me are the least of my problems, as they're pretty nice. And to be honest you do need a few nice people online occasionally. But what bothers me the most is when some of them finally see you in reality, they just pretend to not see you and walk away. The worse part is when you already started waving.
With such confidence they will wave back.
And then you get ignored.

2. Non-Virtual friends
Non-virtual friends are people who are the complete opposite of Virtual Friends. They are your friends and acquaintances in real life, but not so much till they wanna follow you on any Social Network for that matter. You both say hi to each other in real life but the funny thing is, as how all humans can be so funny, they don't even bother to add you up in their virtual posse of friends.Honestly, these are the people who bother me the most.

3. Real Friends
No one needs a description for real friends. We know one when we meet one. These are the friends who are actually the combination of Virtual and Non-Virtual friends. They are the ones who treat you nicely in real life and also in the virtual world. They are the ones you can count on, who are not pretentious and looking for benefits in your friendship.Oh and they won't mistake you name for someone else's. Just saying.
Ok so some of them might not even have an FB account, but don't get me wrong cuz that doesn't mean they're anything less than a real friend.
