Counting Stars & Luck // Garage 51

I'm so happy I'm finally free enough to get back here and blog! Aaaah. What a relief. All my assignments were due this week and I was so scared I couldn't finish everything on time. But thanks to a few of my friends, I managed to get it all done.

And I even had friggin mid terms for my Performing Arts class today -.- Like the heck. And our lecturer only informed us on Thursday. Indecisive much. I wouldn't mind all this crap if I was majoring in P.A, but the fact is, I wasn't. Plus I had other more important assignments to be done, which were actually from subjects I was gonna major in. I mean nobody likes it when somebody wastes your time right?

Really thick eyeliner today.
And my friend had to smear my eye shadow so much till it looked close to invisible because my eyes were just not meant for putting on eye shadow. HAHA ASIANS.
Why am I laughing at myself.

As you can guess, our heads were already not that into the 'game', so our performance was pretty sucky today compared to the last time we performed. I was pretty disappointed to be honest. All those hours of pracs in the past. The sacrifices we made to stay back for the sake of perfecting this. The money spent on buying our props.
But screw it.
What's done is done. I can only hope for the better on our coming act which will be graded for our Finals.

So I'm just here to talk about what I've been up to lately. Let's see...

I went out with my friends the others day for lunch at this place called Garage 51 cuz it was nearby our college.

If you cannot already tell, parking was a bitch here.

But their interior was really good.

There was a free bottle of water set on each table.
Since it was free, we decided to gather all of it together on our table hahaha.

Ajer ordered thier Aglio Olio pasta.
It was appealing to the taste buds.
RM 13 for this and a drink.
It was pretty much the cheapest thing here which is enough to fill your tummy.

 My smoked salmon bagel. RM18
It was sandwiched with smashed avocados and cream cheese.
This was really a unique eat and was rather delicious.
The bagel was good. It had a little bit of chewiness to it, not too soft or hard.
However, it was pretty sad that although it was pricey, the salmon was only stingily given.

Wee's Cream cheese bagel with Rasberry Jam. RM12
The jam was great, and the combination of it together with the cream cheese was wickedly good.

Eva's baked eggs.
It was told that customers had to wait for a minimum of 17 minutes just for this dish to arrive.
And so we all waited together LOL.
It was decorated sliced chipolata on top for a taste to complete the creamy-textured egg.
The eggs were baked together with a mixture of cream, zucchini, parmesan and mozarella cheese!

What we do when we wait for the bill.

Overall, the food was good, but wasn't good enough to blow me or any of my friends away.

However, the price managed to do that to us lol.

Since parking was near to impossible, we carpulled there and back to campus in Eva's car.

All was good until she dropped us back in college and left. After 15 minutes since she left, I realised my lappie wasn't with me. I left it in her car.

That made me really sad, but then again I looked on the bright side to it. Being able to restrict myself from checking useless updates on FB and stalking people... for the night.

Oops. Did I say stalk?
I actually meant being concerned about the life of others :P

Then at 9pm, I was gonna leave campus with a few of my friends. We were walking to our cars in this insanely huge car park, and when I reached my car I realised I didn't have my keys.

It was in Eva's car as well.

Wee ended up having to fetch me back. And of course he did that with a price. I had to pay for his petrol and take him for dinner. Plus listen to him telling my how he could've just said no to me and leave me there all alone in the carpark in the dark but he didn't.

Yup. I definitely have a pretty kind friend.

Not that I'm complaining now.

Having dinner at 10.30pm with this loser tryna pose.

I don't know why but I've been losing so many things this month :(

Need to be more careful from now onwards, zip all the zips on my bag and be paranoid by checking my bag twice every five minutes.

So yea. If you're having a bad day, hope this made your entire life sound better. I MEAN WHO FRIGGIN LEAVES THEIR CAR KEYS IN SOMEONE ELSE'S CAR AND GETS STRANDED IN COLLEGE.
 Except me.

Anyway, more updates tomorrow! Till then :D

I Guess This Is Goodbye

8.11.2013. Today my dog was put to sleep in front of my very own eyes.

For those of you who have been through it before, you'd know how painful it was, how saddening it was.

Previously, I brought my dog, Nickey, to the vet because his ears was bleeding.

This time, his anus was bleeding. I didn't even know he was bleeding until today, given how late I've been home the past few days due to assignments.
Yesterday my dad told me it was just an infection, so I was pretty calm taking in the information. What he didn't tell me, was that it had been two days and that my dog couldn't even take a dump because everytime he tries, blood would come out instead.

Thus, I was so terrified when I saw how much blood was dripping from him this morning...
Together with my sis, we put him at the backseat while she held him and I drove to the vet.

All the talk about being ready to put him to sleep came back to me and I thought I was finally willing to let him go. After all, he had been through a great 13 years with us, accompanying us. But now he was suffering, barely being able to see, his hearing completely gone, his sense of smell slowly fading away, and now maggots feasting inside his poor system.

There was nothing we could do to save him. There was nothing I could've done to stop his misery.

So there I was, as I stood inside one of the dimly lit rooms in the vet. I gave him a little hug and he was moving about the metal table they had placed him. He kept slipping because he had completely lost the ability to grip with his paws and he started moaning. More blood came out, and he started peeing on the table.

He sensed what was coming.

And I stroked him even more and gripped him even tighter, as I struggled to bring myself back to the realization that this was actually happening.

Everything happened so fast after that. The doctor just filled the syringe with something and came over to my dog in an instance, injecting him with it. All without a warning.
My dog groaned and collapsed onto the table.

At that sight, I lost it. I completely lost it. The tears I thought I was strong enough to hold back, immediately streamed down my face. His moans got even louder as he lied on the table.

At that moment, I finally realised how big a part he was in my life. My selfish self came back, thinking that I couldn't and wouldn't let him go.

But he was already gone.
The most painful part was seeing how he didn't look like he was ready to go yet. He looked like he was trying to fight his disease as best as possible. He looked as if he still wanted to be with us despite the suffering he was going through.

Nickey, I finally know what it means to lose a loved one, and I thank you for your company and service all these years. You taught me so much that no other human would prolly be able to teach in my lifetime. You taught me to appreciate the things I have, to be grateful, to love whole heartedly and to also be selfless.

I know I may sound ridiculous to some people, but then again, you'd never understand unless you've had a dog which you've grown up with, which you've taken care off, which you've fed, which you'd spend time with, and which you've grown to love him as if he was another human being.

Rest in peace boy. You know how much I love you, and how much I'm crying again right now as my heart falls apart at the thought of you. Till we meet again.

"To you, your dog may only be part of your life. But to your dog, you are it's entire life."

Hello November

In a blink of an eye, another month has come to pass. Everything is drawing near.. Christmas and not to mention, deadlines and Finals as well. I'm scared to the core right now and I don't even feel like caring about what my results are gonna turn out to be anymore. I'm just drained. I'm just tired.

Though a part of me still pity my parents for having a child with such weak willpower. Yea sorry bout that guys. I'd like to think I have a strong foothold on my willpower when in actual fact two days of hardwork can already feel like two years to me. Meh.

Alright. Don't worry not all hope is lost. Yet.
I'm still hanging by a thread, trying to finish up the one trillion assignments and exercises my lecturers have thrown to our class as if they were throwing confetti.

Anyway yesterday I went out shopping with my family. Like finally!!! It has been so long since we got to go somewhere together and just spend the day out. It was really hard to resist everything there because I realised when you are deprived from shopping for more than 3 months, the higher the chances you'd want to buy an entire shop.

And as usual I seemed like the one buying the most stuff because well, I was stocking up on necessities.
I kid you not. *solemn face*

I bought this toner from Himalaya which is super great for oily and acne prone skin, because now they are having 50% off on it. The rest of their products are now on 15% off as well.
So Himalaya fans better grab em all now and stock em up till the next sale season comes!
CHARGE!

I also got alot of socks because, as I said, it's a necessity :P I even bought this funny thing from Daiso called the 'Up Heel Cushion'.

Well it's supposed to give you a 1.5cm lift from your original height. Why am I even telling you this.
Now my secret is revealed. HAIH. But if you're fun sized like me or think that you have fat ankles, this really helps to enlongate your legs :)

We also went to Victoria's Secret today, telling ourselves that we MUST go home with something from there this time. My sister and I rushed to all their body mists and perfumes immediately, spraying everything we can get our hands on, on ourselves LOL.

After inhaling the many fragrances they had, we finally chose 3 we liked best and paid for it. We chose Mango Temptation, Pure Seduction and Love Spell.
Spot the three!

But bad luck just had to be part of this pretty picture. Why, of course.

We left it there. The entire bag.

My baby sis was holding it and she went to the toilet. She placed it on the shelf while minding her business. And you can guess what happened next. She left the entire thing there, and nobody noticed. Not my mum, or Hilary, my other sister (Bern and I weren't following them cuz we were told to go ahead by ourselves).

#BadLuckHons

Sigh. RM 130 gone just like that.

Now some happy auntie prolly jumping for joy with the whole package at home.

Bad ending to such a wonderful day.
But I'd like to think I did some charity there lol. Maybe someone needed it more than we did? Well everything happens for a reason and I believe this did too :)

PANDA FOR A DAY :D

I wanted this High waist shorts..
But it was RM 200.
Like da heck.
Ain't nobody gonna pay 200 bucks for a small piece of cloth.

I felt so bad for this place because I looked as if though I wanted to buy their stuff.
But in actual fact I was just interested in snapping a picture.
LOOK AT THOSE KEWT MINIONS!
It's more expensive than a meal.
But then again it's handmade so I guess it's worth it?

I got the socks from Daiso!
But it's actually made for men --"
It was just a wild decision because they didn't have thigh high socks for women.
Top from Nicole.
Shorts from Manila.
Bag from Times Square
Shoes from Agape Boutique

I thought this picture was pretty cool.
Ok or maybe not.

The stupid faces I do lol.

I really hope they will set up Unifi in my area soon.
My connection is so bad, most of the time it's the reason why my posts are so delayed :(

My Sister's First Holy Communion // Rakuzen

Last Saturday was my baby sister's first time being able to receive the Eucharist during mass! Mind you, it's quite a big catholic thing. So if you're clueless now on what I'm talking about, the Eucharist is actually the 'bread of life' we, Catholics, receive during mass, which is a reenactment of the Last Supper when Jesus offered bread and wine to his disciples.

If you still don't get it then... Google is your answer my friend! :D

This is an example of how the Eucharist looks like.
SO COOL RIGHT.
Haha over-enthusiastic Christian here.

My baby sister is 10 years younger than me (yesh I'm gonna be an old hag soon). And whenever there's a big event or celebration where she is finally old enough to be part of it, it becomes like a wake up call to me. I start to see again how time is flying by and how it waits for nothing to just pass you by.

When I was younger, I never really liked my baby sister. I felt that she was annoying, and I couldn't forget what she did to me when I was around 13, the time where I was going through a hard time accepting the fact my body was changing.

She made the experience much worse and maybe I'm just a sensitive person. But it was also so hard because I was the eldest and I felt I was in this alone. No one knew how much I hated being the eldest. Every shit that happened had to come my way first before it went any further. I felt like a guinea pig most of the time.

But this year, we ultimately kinda got along. And I felt a huge surge of relief. I always thought she was gonna hate me and kill me one day in the future o_o
Ok fine. This syndrome where you think everybody is gonna find a reason to kill you is called ToomuchofCriminalMinds.

On a serious note, I felt a relief that we eventually both learned to treat each other better and also accept the flaws we have. In this 19 years of my life, I have finally come to appreciate her existence and am even thankful for her :')

The blur part is my aunt's finger LOL.
Anyways I like how I look so big here xD

Because in reality I'm actually only this small compared to the rest of my family.

After mass, we went to Rakuzen for a hearty dinner, as per my baby sis's request.
Yea, so young but so demanding haha.

This is the best I tell you.
Your trip to Rakuzen will never be complete unless you try this waffle ice cream sandwich.

The food here are all superb.
Rakuzen is definitely my current fav Japanese restaurant.
The portion size is not bad, and even able to fill someone with such a big appetite, like me, up!
The price on the other hand is not that costly as well for such a big meal.
My set was about RM30 plus, which is quite reasonable as a simple meal in Bangsar can even go up to that price without filling your tummy.
On top of that, their lunchtime set menu is cheaper than the dinnertime set!
But of course, I would recommend only Oasis Square's Rakuzen as my parents tried the branch in Empire before and it was pretty disappointing.
Different branches = Different chefs

Outfit for the night.
Off shoulder top from Fblock.
Bodycon skirt from Times Square or anywhere at all, really.
Vintage Sachs Leather Bag - my mum's.

The long flowy back of my top was actually the main reason I bought it.
I thought I looked like a fairy lol.

Ending with a picture of my baby sis :)

Till next time! :D
