Just Give Me A Reason

Finally! All is completed. For now.

Had a pretty rough day today. Actually everyday was a pretty rough day the past few weeks LOL. But today was slightly rougher. Haha if I even made sense.

I've been really doing alot of last minute work because I just had so many things to deal with. For some people, being last minute serves as a wonderful motivation to produce their best results. I admit I belong to the last minute category, however I think the part which says 'producing best results', just doesn't apply to me unfortunately.

*Big sigh*

I don't even know whether my assignments are going to turn out well for this semester. And recently, I just feel so handicapped. The main reason being not having a laptop compatible with video editing softwares. I guess in broadcasting, this is definitely a must or else you're definitely gonna suffer.

My group video assignment suffered due to that. I felt like a useless piece of trash when it came to the editing part as I was supposed to be the one to edit the videos. The thing is, I love editing videos. I really do. No joke. lol.

But because of not having a laptop that could support any video editing software without crashing every 5 minutes, my job was ultimately passed to my other group member who basically suffered an entire sleepless night just to finish it up.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, we had to use someone else's laptop who wasn't in our current semester's course at all.

Major handicap.

My groupmate then had to stay back in college secretly to use their computers (as the computer labs are not open 24/7) to continue editing the videos as we couldn't bring home that poor person's laptop obviously. I couldn't be there because I wasn't allowed to stay over anywhere.

Furthermore, on that particular night I already had an appointment which was made one month ago, with my girls. Supposedly it started at 6.30 pm but I got lost for 3 hours, almost ending up in Genting, as I did not have 3G or a GPS with me :'(

So by the time Eva came to my rescue, the sky was practically pitch black already.
And the event was long OVER. No more free food. *whaaaaaaiiiii*

#BadLuckHon strikes yet again.

Anyway here's a short picturorial story of what happened while I was gone.

My ootd from long ago.
Loving the Maxi Cardigan which I got from an Esprit sale 2 months ago!
I can match it with almost anything and it keeps me feeling nice and warm as I get cold easily.
The 'Wild' top was from a random blogshop that happened to set up a store in Taylor's.
High waisted shorts from Bangkok and chain necklace from H&M.

For some reason, I look so pale here.

Remember the event which I missed?
I ended up having my dinner here instead with the girls.

But nothing can compare with the joy of receiving free food :(
AHAHA major cheapo alert.

Don't be fooled! These curry puffs are huge!

It's the size of my hand o_o
I've never seen this curry puff before until Venice introduced it to me.
Apparently it is pretty well known.

If you're interested to check this curry puff out, it's located inside The Gardens shopping mall.
It was not bad as there were chicken chunks inside but I did wish they included at least a small piece of egg inside.
This curry puff isn't the salty-with-a-tinge-of-sweetness kind, if you're into that kinda puff.
It is more towards just salty, so if you're a fan of the other kind, you might be abit disappointed in these.

Went to the Mines to be part of a Chinese television drama series which will be aired in RTM2.
Haha.
Honestly it was nothing much but just a super 'keh-leh-feh' role.

I look so chubby here :3

 That's Eva there
So happy we were able to gain experience through this though!
Even if it was just a tiny role :)
We were both acting as sales ladies lol.

OOOOH and the best part of all was my car!
It looks as if it was brand new now!
Got everything fixed under the-car-who-banged-me's insurance.
I feel so proud whenever I drive now haha! (ignore the P-sticker peeling off)
*BIG GRIN*

Running Out Of Time

I want to share so many things that have been happening recently but I just can't seem to find the time! :( Not this week at least... Did I mention I had about 4 assignment due this week?

Yea no shit.
Welcome to the life of broadcaster-wannabes.

Seriously if you don't really know much about broadcasting, DON'T TAKE IT. Its got nothing to do with the glamorous life of meeting stars oh-so-conveniently and etc -.-

Those are just lies.

It's all about being behind the scenes. I look at my friends and admire those who're taking PR. Their life is so much easier compared to us :'(

Oh well.

SNEAK PEAK for what I'm gonna post up soon after finishing up my 3k worded essay, annotated bibliographies, findings analysis, and French oral presentation. *if you got the hint, you'd know that it won't be up so soon lol*

Recently my skin has been getting worse as well.
It can't be seen from this picture because of the lighting (thank God) but my skin has been getting itchy for no reason at all.
When it gets itchy, it means that an acne or pimple is gonna pop out at that spot soon.
And somehow the pimple creams which used to be so effective on my skin, became of no help at all.
For some weird reason, I managed to become immune to all the creams I used.
o_o

Maybe it's due to the stress :(
Sigh.

Anyway hope you guys would check this space soon for updates :)
No sleep tonight! (-_-)//

The Daily Grind

Last weekend, we wandered around Bangsar again in hope of a 'foodventure'. We were spoilt for choice, as usual, with the endless rows of restaurants there. After about an hour, we finally came to a decision and decided to just eat here at The Daily Grind.

I've wanted to come here for a long time before, but there were alot of mixed reviews about this place. Some said it was good, others said it was not that nice. Hence, I too had alot of mixed feelings coming to this place. LOL.

The decoration at this place was certainly interesting (I mean which Western restaurant wouldn't look fancy-dancy in Bangsar), with it's dimmed lighting which created a cosy ambience.

Our orders were mostly burgers because this place was supposedly known for it.

The Classic Beef Burger w/ Cheese.
RM 28

The Triple Stack Burger.
RM 37

The G'day Burger bitten into.
RM 35

 Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich
RM 28

Just to sum everything up quick - because I know people hate looking at words :P
The burgers, as you can already see from the pictures, were not bad. Big, juicy and everything a burger could be. There may be rooms for improvement but you'll just have to try it for yourself to know for sure.

I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and not any of the burgers above so I can't say much about the latter.

I can however tell you that the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich definitely has a lot of space for improvement. The steak they used for the sandwich tasted abit like McD's beef patty.
I'm sorry I always use McD as a comparison (hehe) but this time it's because it's necessary in order to express the steak's flavour accurately.

So it had a pretty common flavour which isn't something that would exactly appeal to Malaysians, I reckon. The texture of the panini bread they used for it was a bit to hard, almost like eating a baguette, even the knife had trouble cutting through it.

The fries... tasted like typical store-bought fries. Nothing special about it.
The ketchup and chilli sauce they placed on the table on the other hand, had a distinct herbal taste to it. It tastes like one of the chinese herbal teas my mum would make for us when we were younger.
They claimed that their sauces are self-made and not from the tube, free from colouring and flavouring, so perhaps that's one reason why.

My friends said it was just plain weird but if you do go there, do share with me whether it's a good-weird or just-plain-bad-kinda-weird :P

Their menu however is impressive, with so many varieties of food you'd have a hard time picking what you want!
The price was rather pricey to us because we were only students, so if you're working perhaps this place would be affordable to you.

French Village

Tuesday was Wesak's day and my initial plans were to catch up on assignments, study for French mid terms and basically do some work around the house.

Yes I sound like such a good appreciative student thinking about my studies constantly.

However my mission was interrupted because my friends came up with something better to do - drive up to Genting for a day trip. And so being the good friend I am, I forced my heavy eyes open in the early glimmer of daylight on this precious holiday and dragged my reluctant feet across the cold wooden floor, ready to provide them my wonderful companionship.

HAHA so drama. Just kidding.

I tagged along without a second thought.

Hurray I was so excited to get away from work and home for awhile. I usually don't do things unplanned and I haven't done anything so random  for awhile now, so this just made me even more hyped up about the entire thing.

Before we started our long journey up, we stopped by Thai Thai for lunch.

After an hour's nauseating experience in the car going up the winding road, we finally reached Bukit Tinggi's French Village. It was my first time there so everything looked really beautiful to me. The buildings and the decorations all around made me feel as though I was wandering around in a foreign town.

Nic, who was a friend of Venice came along and snapped many pictures for us.

I guess I shall just let the pictures do the talking for now.

Look at my big brace teeth.
I feel like I'm staring at a monster here. *facepalms*

I just realised my shirt matched my face lol hahahaa.

Sigh if you're staring at this picture and wondering why do my lips look so fat and pouty like a duck, I'm wondering why as well.
It's ever since I put on my braces, my lips just magically grew thicker and thicker.
I hope it goes back to its original size though :/
I was pretty happy with the way it was.
Now I look like some Angelina Jolie wannabe.
fmlfmlfmlfmlfmlfml.
