Let's Start Anew. CHANGE.

In the early dawn of this morning, everybody had probably drove back to their hometown or already started queuing to vote for this year's General Election.

The situation got even more intensed lately with all the FB and Twitter posts on this year's elections, the recent 'war' declared in Sabah, the bombings outside the Opposition's office just a few days ago, and of course all the vote for "insert party's name here"  ads on the Star and Youtube.

I'm guess I'm worried. Both ways.

If BN wins, we're doomed for another 5 years. If Opposition wins, we're doomed from the riots that might happen.

Decisions.

I did not say it will happen, but I said it MIGHT.

I just really hope that this year, we the people of this country get to be heard.

That the choice would be in our hands, and not interfered by some third party making us bend to their liking.

I guess as normal citizens of Malaysia, all we hope for is peace and justice.

All this while, we've done all we can to be better people, better students, better workers, better parents. But to have a better country, we need to be a better nation and unite to vote for it. To choose it.

I'm not being biased. 

Because if you're thinking that, well that's just your thought and that ain't no truth.

I'm just asking everybody to really reflect upon the past 5 years, and to decide rationally whether the current leader of our country deserves to hold Malaysia in his hands again for another 5 more years.

Whether he deserves to keep doing what he has been doing for the past 5 years.

I'm not a political fanatic or an extremist. I have always turned a blind eye to politics because I felt it was the main culprit of dividing this nation. And which also kept building boundaries around the different races here in Malaysia, creating unnecessary tensions between races even because of a simple word like 'Allah'.

I never really asked my dad about the whole political story he had in his mind, however, I managed to pick up bits and pieces of what he said when he was discussing this issue to my mum, as the years passed.

One thing I learned was, scolding the party you hate or dislike with profanities just makes you a loser.

A really big one.

Yes, I'm talking about those people who have been vandalizing my FB homepage with all the swear words you can imagine on the party they dislike.

Swearing at them doesn't make you any much better from all the evil you think they did to you.

That's uncool bro..

I wanted to put an example here but I think the person deleted it lol. Wise move.
If you really hate a party or anything at all in this case, please express it with reasonable REASONS. Not with all the colourful words your little mind is able to conjure up.

Anyways, I read this article, and I was really impress by the way the writer wrote. It's going all over FB now and was even posted on MSN.

Yes MSN. It's quite long, but definitely worth the read as she states whether we should vote for change or not.

At the end of the day, all we can do is keep hoping for a clean election.

I vote for Change. 

I even did a little makeover for my room to express my little way of supporting change in conjunction to this year's General Election lol. (Since I cant vote. Yet.)

My parents went to this Parkson clearance fair and they got all of us new bedsheets. They would never spend on such unnecessary things during ordinary times.

@ Big Hug Burger!

So we heard news about this new burger store in town.. and we decided to check it out!

I proudly present you.. Big Hug Burger!
The name is as cosy and sweet as the internal furnishing, I kid you not.

 Don't you just feel right at home immediately, looking at all these things decorated on the wall.

These are all actually little things we can find at home, which we sometimes we fail to appreciate all of it till we see it in a big picture, just like this.

 The menu.

As you can see the Ala Cartes are not that expensive. It is actually much cheaper than some of the burger places these days.

 This was their set menu, with all the set prices on it.

One thing I loved about this place was the amount of variety you got to choose from.
Plus this place is halal too (no pork), which makes it even more the rage.

You can choose between three types of buns to compliment your burger your burger as well:
1. Sesame bun
2. Wholemeal bun
3. Bamboo Charcoal bun
All of these buns were actually specially homemade and not ordered by bulk from elsewhere.
So you can imagine the freshness of it!

On top of that, there's beef, chicken, lamb and even fish!
And it's especially rare to find a good salmon burger around here.

Here's, the counter where you are treated with LOVE when you place your order.

They even have tidbits and snacks such as marshmallows, Oreos, chocolate chip cookies and Pringles to keep you company while you wait for your burger.

We waited for about half an hour for our burgers, but hey you know what they say, perfection takes time.

What came first was the Big Hug Burger. It consisted of a big piece of fried chicken chop, tomato slices, cheddar cheese, onion rings, pineapple slices, fresh lettuce and secret sauce.

We were really lucky to have even been able to order this. They only had four more when we came, the rest being sold out. And guess what..
We took all four!

The burger gave a really rich and satisfying taste as if your mouth was really enveloped with a "Big Hug".

The chicken chop, cheese, pineapples and tomatoes blended really well together, as the chicken was abit dry but the juiciness of the pineapples and tomatoes balanced it out.

And it was served in a jumbo sized sesame bun!

Next came the salmon burger with a bamboo charcoal bun.

The salmon was really big, as you can see it peeking out from the bun. The grilled piece of salmon was smothered with both cheddar and mozzarella cheese, plus roasted cherry tomatoes and caramelized onions.

We ordered the Cheesy Burger as well.

This was similar to the Big Hug burger but was definitely like an upgrade, perfect for people who have a big appetite.

Perfect for people in starvation mode.

It was filled with a piece of ham, fried egg, tomato slices and three types of cheese: Cheddar, Mozzarella, and Nachos cheese!
The whole burger was really protein packed, and sinful to indulge in.

It was as big as the size of his face.

Finally, mine arrived. I ordered the Crispy Fish Burger with their bamboo charcoal bun.

It consisted of a crispy fish fillet, tomato slices, roaster garlic aioli (which is actually garlic mayo) and cheddar cheese.

The fish fillet was deep fried on the outside, while the inside was made out of tender fish meat. In my opinion, this wasn't really my cup of tea. I felt the patty could be improved with less breadcrumbs and more real fish meat. The lettuce in mine was not that fresh to me as well.
However, the garlic aioli was rich in flavour which enhanced the entire burger.

Personally, I would recommend the Big Hug burger which is their house specialty and also the Grilled Salmon Burger, as it is rare.

This place was actually inspired by the passion of making good burgers. The owner also explained that it was also how rewarding it felt to see hungry kids satisfy their tummy with good food, watching their faces glow with joy.

One of the many perks of coming here is that all their patties can barely fit their buns!
No matter what you ordered, I guarantee your patty will still peek out and make your day just by glancing at how gigantically enormous it is.

In a nutshell, this place can undeniably be called a home to all burger lovers out there.

 I even got to take a heap load of pictures with the owner's charming daughter, Eve and her friend.

She was really friendly and helpful.

Great service there I must say!

How do you get there?

Its next to MiddleSex Uni which is located in Subang Square Corporate Tower SS15. Another landmark would be Taylor's CPU building. Big Hug Burger is located right behind it.

DIY Shirt Weaving Tutorial

Ok so lately  my new hobby has been getting down on all my old t shirts and recreating them.

I even had to skip showering for one whole day all because of one shirt.

Hahah ok I'm not that disgusting but cuz basically in college I spent the whole day in air conditioned rooms and when I got home, I spent the whole day in my nice cold room.

I'm like a hobo once I find something interesting to do.

So yes I was actually clean on that day. Really clean ^^

Anyways  the first shirt I transformed was...

My sister scolded me for cutting up this shirt. 

Cuz she wanted it -.-

So how did I do it? 

Here are the steps! :D

 1. Cut up the collar of the shirt following its original seams.

2. Cut the sleeves as well.

 3. Fold the shirt in half and using the a pencil,draw half of a triangle like this. Then draw lines in it, the distance of each line being roughly the width of your finger (2 cm or so).

 4. Spread the shirt this way so that when you cut the back according to the lines, you won't accidentally cut the front of the shirt.

 5. Cut till the very bottom of your half triangle.

 And you will have something like this.

Weaving the shirt

 1. Take the first strip and make it into a loop like this. (Remember the way you twist it)

2. Put the loop on top of the second strip and pull the second strip out of the loop as such.

 3. Pull the second strip out and twist it into another loop (the same way you twisted your first loop) and place it on top of the third strip.

 4. Pull the third strip out of the loop and repeat from step 1 again.

5. Do this till you reach the end.

 6. Take the last loop and cut it in between.

 7. Tie a dead knot .

 8. Pull the sides of all the strips to tighten the "weaving" in the middle.

And VOILA. There you have it! :)

You can make the length of your shirt shorter too, to create a crop top. Anything is possible.

If you're afraid that you might cut wrongly, then try it out on some really old t shirts first before doing the real deal.

It's really simple but all you need is just some time off your busy schedules to accomplish this.
