Really Cold Day

Just a quick update on today :)
It was raining the whole night on Wednesday. It was so good to sleep till I did not hear my alarm and my mum had to wake me up. Even after she woke me up, I thought she was joking when she was saying that I had to go for class today.

I actually thought my mum got messed up with her timing.

Cuz the sky was still so dark and I hear the sound of rain.
Plus I love to hear the sound of rain when I'm sleeping.

It's like music to my ears~~

Ok that's all I like about the rain- It's sound when I'm asleep.

Other times, I just hate it because it cancels all your outdoor activities, ruins your clothes, ruins your hair and also ruins your driving experience.

It's so damn hard to drive in the rain I tell you. Especially when the sky is still dark, and all you can see in your side mirrors are bright lights whooshing everywhere.

This was all I saw ._.

Oh well. At least I made it through the blinding lights and got to class just in time.

And that the rain even stopped being so heavy when I reached campus, after the 45 minutes being stuck in the jam.

Phew. Thought it was end of the world.

I would've regretted going all the way to college to die.

Dying in my cosy little bed with all my furry friends and fluffy pillows surrounding me seemed like a better idea.

Hey what am I talking about, TOUCH WOOD TOUCH WOOD!

Did I mention how hard it is to walk in the rain as well? Everything splashes on your legs. Rain water, sand, mud and even stones.

Hence, my legs were embedded with stones today lol.

Anyways, I decided to wear my fluffy black pullover since it was so cold today.
 Matched it with a pair of distressed shorts (which I DIYed :DD), and a chunky necklace.

Oh and everybody touched me the moment they got close enough to say hi.
Ok that sounded wrong.
It was my pullover they were touching.

Cuz it's superrrrrrrr soft!

And it wasn't even a single bit hot wearing this black piece of fluff. It actually felt nice and soft throughout the day.

But this will probably be my last time wearing it out cuz it somehow has the words "TOUCH ME" written on it somewhere which I cant see.

This thing is magical I tell you. If you wanna get touched hahah.

Next thing you know, people might start wearing this to clubs.

Ze Moustachei I presente ziu...
VOILA

But somehow moustaches became too common, everyone now has it!
Therefore I proudly announce to you my new creation...

Ze Magnificento Beardo!
TADAAAAAA.
Cuz Moustaches are just too mainstream!
*teary eyed moment of proudness*

Freakshows

I don't know what's with me and bikes but I find anybody with a bike appealing.
Like you tell me you are rich, no problem. You tell me your parents own Gucci, no big deal. You tell me you have a BMW, sure thing.

But if you tell me you have a Kawasaki, I'll go gaga all over you. Instantly.

I really loved bikes ever since I was young. I remembered how I loved to go back to my hometown because I got to sit on my uncles' motorbikes and feel the wind in my face.

I know I sound like a dog.

Anyways, I have four uncles and all four of them have a bike each. Plus my dad was an ex-biker.  So I guess this attraction on bikes just naturally run in the family. Which explains why I'm so drawn to bikes and people who own bikes.

I wanted a bike like for all 18 years of my life ever since I knew what a bike was.

I wanted to actually own one and ride it everywhere I go, through rain or shine.

OK maybe not in floods and flash storms.

But all I wanted was a chance to learn how to ride one.

To own one and feel proud of it and experience the speed and rush, riding a bike brings.
I even wanted a Ducati when I came to know about it after getting a little older (because I only saw people around here riding on modified ordinary bikes, Kawasakis and Harley Davidsons on the road).

One day this baby will be mine.

However, my dad was the one who popped my little bubble and decided that I shouldn't and am not allowed to take a motorcycle license. Adding oil to the fire, my mum also backed him up against my pleas of learning to ride a bike. So in a way, my mum was the main culprit. Lol.

 My dad explained that he did not want me to ride on the road because of how dangerous the drivers can be these days. He also told me about how he got this huge scar on his leg and that it was due to riding bikes.

Interestingly what I found out was, he went racing with his bike. -_-

And that's how he actually got it. Not the bike's fault at all.

So ya I've been kinda ignoring what he said about how the roads are so dangerous and there are so many reckless drivers.

This was because I guess I somehow had the mindset that if God wanted me back in heaven (hopefully not hell), then no matter what, I would be fated to die as well. Even if I drive at 60km/h wherever I go. Or even if I don't drive at all. I'd still die if I'm fated to.

And so if I was fated to live and only die of old age, no matter what I did, (but obviously not jumping off a building or go 180km/h on my car) I'd still be safe and alive.

 So that was basically how I thought.

I wasn't really that afraid of death.

No not mine. (not for now I guess)

However, I was really afraid of other people's death... Very much.

Because I don't like losing people.

Even if I hated that person to the very core, I'd still pray for their well being. I think I might even shed a few tears for them if any of them died.  I just don't like death around me.

These few days, alot of deaths have been happening.

Just yesterday, was a road accident on Federal Highway. If you haven't heard about it, let me enlighten you.

It all began when a motorcyclist stopped at the side of the highway because there was something wrong with his bike. Then three other kind hearted motorcyclists saw this incident and decided to help him.

Half way through, a Honda City just shot through the whole scene and crashed into the motorcyclists and motorcycles. The Honda City lost control apparently but it wasn't stated due to what reason. If I wasn't mistaken, three of them died straight on the scene.

After that, a BMW saw the accident and wanted to stop and help. There were two people in the car, so both of them came out.

Suddenly, a motorcyclist who was not aware of what was happening, came out of no where and crashed into one of the BMW passengers and both of them died instantly.

This was definitely a freak show. A freak accident. I felt so afraid after hearing the news.

Afraid when I was driving at night, something might just happen to my car and then I'd have to stop at the side of the road. And then motorcyclists who might have been speeding too fast might not be able to see my car and crash into it. And their blood would be on my hands...

 I actually thought of Final Destination 4 the moment my friend broke this tragedy to me.
This was because when I was taking my license, they gave this really long talk about safety and stuff on the streets. All of us were dozing off already until they played this video for us.

It was a clip from Final Destination.

That's how I remembered it so clearly. Cuz they really scared the shit out of us lol.

It's like one thing led to another even in this Federal Highway accident, and these people were innocent. Especially those who wanted to help in the accident. It's just so sad to see that these helpful people died such horrific deaths.

It feels like the bad guy had just won in a movie while the good guy practically died.

Because of this accident, I realised one thing for sure. I was definitely not going to ride my future bike here in Malaysia.
At least not after 8pm when it gets dark.

I really hope that people become more aware on the road, especially cars.

Something I know most people who drive would experience is the 'blind spot' in our side mirrors.
I guess I was lucky because I almost rammed into a bike when changing lanes due to this reason.

Fortunately, the guy was alright but I remember him being from shocked to mad until he actually slammed the top of my car ><

I said sorry really loudly, plus gave all the hand signals, chickened out and then drove away as fast as I could.

Not a really good example to learn from but I'm sure there was some interesting moral value you can learn from it heehe.

However due to this experience, I became better at changing lanes and learned to not panic while doing it. Instead, take my time to look in the mirror, then the side windows to see whether there were any oncoming motorcyclists.

I guess what I'm trying to say is BE EXTRAORDINARILY CAUTIOUS when on the road. Cuz I definitely wouldn't wanna hear a similar case like this happen again, due to carelessness.

So how to prevent it from happening to you?

1. If you ever see an accident happen in the night, do not stop behind the vehicle, instead stop IN FRONT of it.
Alot of people stop behind the accident and motorists behind them wouldn't know what's going on because they can't see the accident. That's why cars or motorcycles sometimes ram into the car which stops because of the sudden halt.

2. Besides that, always remember to on your emergency light when you are about to stop, and not when you have completely stopped, as some motorists may be following you too close to stop in time.

3. Lastly, always stop in the emergency lane if possible, and not in the middle lane or, especially, the fast lane (which in our case is the right side of the lane).

Hope this was useful to the drivers out there :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a day..
Bad luck today. Everybody just decided to not turn up after what they told me yesterday. Did not even inform me that anything was cancelled, or that he was going home.
In cantonese, this is called "Fong Fei Kei". FFK for short.
I really hate it when people FFK me without a single text message -.-
At least have the courtesy to send me one freaking text bro.
Seriously, it's just 10 cents and 30 seconds of your life to tell me you can't make it, or not going to be able to make it.
GRRRR.. Sorry I have to be such a bitch and complain about it even though it does not matter already. Even though YOU do not matter already.
Please evaluate yourself before calling someone a bitch. Because unlike you, some people actually have feelings.
I was a fool to think you were someone I could rely on, that you would make me a better person. I was a bigger fool to treat you as a good friend.
But good friends don't place their ego over friends.
So I guess you were never a friend of mine.
Okay I shall just forget it. Sooooooo.. moving on!
What I bought these few days
 Got this fluffy pullover for only RM10!
 All these magazines were only RM1.  Got it from the Times book fair :)
I kinda regret only buying these few now coming to think of it.
Damn.
 Lamingtons! They are chocolate coated pieces of cake covered in shredded coconut.
I first tried them in Aussie.
So happy they have it here now :D
Though it's not chocolate on the inside, it still tasted alright I guess? haha
High waist shorts from Bangkok, only RM5, Grey camisole from Forever 21, RM15 and White button up shirt from Bangkok, RM12.
I'm such a cheapo lol.
Overdue picts heh.
That's all for today. Hope I wake up forgetting all the horrible stuff today.
When Life Is Stripped Away
These few days I'm sure everybody has already heard of this woman who got murdered by 2 thieves at Gasing Hill. She was stabbed four times, and bled to death. This happened one day after her wedding anniversary.
I don't know this woman, or anything about her life, but I do know she was the daughter of someone, a mother to someone and also a loving wife to someone.
And I can't imagine if I ever lost someone that close to me.
I really don't get why people have to be this way. Why they have to hurt others just to get their way. What's bad is when they are willing to hurt others physically.
It's not their body.
They have no right to even lay a finger on the other person's body.
And then it's when the hurt kills the other person.
That's when it is the worse. When it's the most terrifying.
Because you fear that the person might be someone close to you. Someone you love and truly care about.
I don't get why some people still do not understand the meaning of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
Is it that hard to comprehend?
If it is, let me just break it down for you. It means do what you want to others as long as you're willing to accept the same action others would do to you. And it also means that you should treat others the way you would want to be treated.
If you're desperately in need of money, go get a job.
If you still can't find a job and really had to steal, why can't you do it the nice way?
So you guys are willing to be murderers and monsters now just for a couple of dirty filthy bucks?
Come on la. Imagine right after you stole that money, somebody else comes and rob you and stab you four times too. You'd want that to happen to you?
Karma is a bitch.
And karma will hit when the time is right.
I'm just so pained. So shocked, so sad and so terrified. I'm so mixed up with emotions that I can't even interpret what I'm feeling.
This woman was a mum of my friend's friend.
And it's just terrifying when you realise how close to you that this thing happened. It just hits you really hard that at any moment, this might happen to you as well.
Completely with no warning. At all.
Seriously, who do these people think they are? A Greek God?????
Nobody gave them the rights to strip off another person's life.
The most painful part was when I heard this happened right in front of her daughter's eyes. Yes she saw the whole thing happened, she witnessed her mum's death. She saw the knife plunged into her mother's flesh again and again for four times.
The daughter must be traumatized. Th daughter must be crying her eyes out now. The daughter must be blaming herself for what she thought she could've done, though it's not her fault, but because of the evil deeds some other people committed.
I guess I'm just a really graphic person. And everytime someone says something, I automatically already envisioned it in my head. I can play the whole scenario just like a video in my head.
And although this did not happen to me, I was able to  picture the entire scenario.
It just became so real to me that even when I explained this news to my parents (because they asked), tears were actually welling up in my eyes. As I spoke, I even choked on my own words and had to swallow the big blob of stone that just formed inside my throat, before I could continue.
I really don't know what to say to these robbers who became murderers.
But... I guess I would like God to bless them and take good care of them.
I know this isn't what anybody would wish for both of these lousy-excuses-for-a-human, but I just hope they repent.
I hope they would turn over a new leaf and cause realization to the rest of those people who are contemplating on even a robbery or doing any evil at all.
I hope they realize how much pain they've caused others, and how much pain they will receive when they get busted by the cops.
I hope they carry the guilt, not till the day they die and onto their deathbeds, but at least long enough till they are willing to repent and realize their mistakes.
Nobody would truly be able to understand what this woman's family is experiencing or going through now. But I want to share the pain they are feeling, in hopes to be able to lift up their sadness just a little, by praying for them.
Evil will remain. But it's up to us humans to choose between it and the light.
I guess I just wanted to say that, it really isn't too late to change.
When you've fallen into evil, just by the realization of it proves that you can still turn back and start anew. Just by the realization of it proves that your heart is still beating and you deserve better than this.
Hui Yi and Hui Wen, I'm truly sorry for the lost you've experienced. I do not believe that anything as cruel as this should happen to, or be experienced by anybody at all. This was really unfair to you guys. But who am I to judge.
Just know that the Guy-Up-There has a plan for you. And that though your mum's physical body has perished, her spiritual body will remain forever with you guys. Her love will forever be guarding, guiding and protecting you both from any more evil, should it happen to you. Just hold on there and not forget the meaning of life. Know that she is now in a happier place with no suffering at all. Know that one day you both will get to see her again.
I'll be praying for you both and your family, so will half of Malaysia.
You're not in this alone.
Out & About With the Family
So today was a nice day I would say. I started my day with lunch.
Yes I woke up that late.
But lunch was awesome.
You must be thinking I'm such a weird girl. Talking about food all the time like in 3 quarts of my posts. I can't help it though.. It's just that when I eat something really delicious, I have to share it out right???
Sharing is caring ma... LOL
Guess where I went for lunch :DDDD
Citarasa Seafood Market Steamboat!!! It's this place at the hypermarket called NSK. Heard of it before?
Maybe not.
But this place is really HAPPENING. It's freaking huge and they actually separated the restaurant to two parts, the dining area and the mini seafood market.
The mini seafood market is where people are able to choose what they want for their steamboat.
The entrance to the mini market.
And when they said they sold seafood....
 They weren't joking.
 Look at the many types of prawns they have here.
 This was like the biggest prawn I saw there. And it RM13 for a piece!
More expensive than a plate of chicken chop (at kopitiams)
 Lobster.
 All the different types of meat they had there.
 All the different types of fish cakes and fish balls. And etc.
 Welcome to the green parade.
 All that we chose and ordered.
Ours as well.
Before I scare anyone away, our family weren't the only ones eating, my uncles and aunts came too. So there were actually ten of us.
Hence the astonishing amount of food we had.
The place was really cool because this was the first time in my midgety years I've been to a steamboat place which was seafood-complete!
Even the usual places which are famous for their steamboat did not have this kind of variety.
Maybe the most they would give and claim as 'seafood' would be a tiny piece of fish.
That's all.
But here you have an unending variety of fishes, squids, oysters, crabs, lobsters, clams and prawns to choose from. I wonder which category does a geoduck fall into though o.o
This is the aquarium side where people can actually order it live so that it's really fresh to eat.
 Yep I included the price in my picture on purpose.
Alright to be honest I kinda pitied all the sea creatures there to the point I had to say a mini prayer for them all.
I guess it's just not fair that they have to stay in the aquarium and wait for death while watching all their friends die of suffocation when the workers come to take them out of the water for an order.
Till now I don't really know whether fishes have feelings.. but I'm sure any living creature would have this quality right?
I know plenty of places put their fishes like that in the aquarium and only fish them out when they need to cook the fishes. But sometimes I really wonder, can human beings be less cruel to their food?:(
As a kid, I always LOVED looking at all these fishes in the aquarium when all the adults are eating and I find them a bore to be with.
They kinda made me happy in any of the restaurants I was at.
However, now when I think deeper into it... I just find it really screwed up.
But I guess I can't change anything.
I mean this is just a tiny little problem compared to all the other abuse and cruelty cases there are out there.
Alright this is kinda sad so let's move on to something happier.
Time to cook :D
 The soup is divided into two sides. Tom Yam Soup on the left and Chicken Soup on the right.
 Flower crabs... I just love the colour o.o It's blue!
This fish is called the Pomfret.
And look they also clean and cut the fish nicely for you here!
 My parents were calling this "dao dai" all the way.
Thats the cantonese name for it. The malay name for it is ikan bawal tambak.
I don't know the english name lol.
These both are my favouriteeees.
 The blue crab turned orange. Fascinating...
The crab was average I guess, because the meat was a bit powdery and not smooth like how fresh crabs are suppose to have that texture. My dad said that it was imported apparently, that's why it's so big but of course the freshness had to be sacrificed.
 I loved the Dao Dai/ Ikan Bawal. Now this was fresh!
The prawns were great too. It was sweet :D
So another great thing about this place was that most of their fishes are sea fishes, prawns too. It is all from the sea not the river, that's why they taste superb, without that hint of muddy smell a river fish would normally have.
I must admit I can't bear river fishes.
I know, I know, called me spoilt, a brat or whatever you want, but growing up, my dad was always a huge fan of seafood so he naturally bought sea fishes for us all the time.
And I remember the first time I ate a river fish. It was horrible. I took one bite and it tasted like it was marinated in mud and fish waste to me.
Let me just add, I wasn't the only one. My sisters were all equally disgusted as well. Haha only my dad managed to take it like a man. And we ended up passing all of our portions to him.
So yes, we can conclude that I can't stand most river fishes.
 Some are still ok to me though, if they cook it the right way or if it is fried.
What happens when my sister takes a picture for me.
They just choose the most unflattering angle and tell you your face is the problem
I can find so many flaws in this picture but I guess I wouldn't state any of it. Just in case nobody realised anything, and then I accidentally make them realise the problems because of stating it.
Shush Ivena.
Oh and what I wore today. I have never touched this shirt before.
Literally I have never once wore it out because... It was too long (nope it definitely wasn't because of my height problem)
Nope
No way.
Fine... It is.
The shirt was so long it could completely cover my butt and made me look like I had a long body without a butt. Like literally.
So I sent the shirt to its doom.
Gave it to my sister. But well..she isn't that tall... Pfft... I'm almost her height like pretty much..
I'm just a head shorter than her.
See told you I was almost there.
Anyways today I finally wore it because I found a way to wear it! (like duhh)
By tucking it in!
Lol. Bet none of you would have ever thought of that huh...
No no I'm just joking!
 Just a normal shirt with pattern printed shorts.
After the steamboat, went to the hypermarket for awhile to shop for veggies, meat and household stuff.
Needed to desperately restock our supplies.
I think I look abit surprised here. and Idk why.
Hmmm I wonder whether he's thinking about me...
Haha alright that's all. Hope it wasn't picture overload or anything like that for this post. Soooooo tired.
Bed time!
